I have noticed something wonderful happening with one of my bamboo plants. It has suddenly shot up tremendously. All of a sudden it has grown a great deal. What have I done different? I was rearranging some plants in my living room. (taking them off the pellet stove that I of course do not use in the summer)

I placed it on my Passion Parties desk. This is where I make my samples, prizes, keep my orders... Then there is this connection that I realized too. Suddenly I've been getting orders at work left and right! What have I done different in my life?

Well, I have been doing a lot of visualization while burning incense. I visualize on my way to work, when I'm just sitting alone at home, at work...

I'm not going to say exactly what I am visualizing, as I believe that will take the power of it away. I bet you can figure it out though *giggles*

And coincidentally the bamboo plant is a 'good luck' plant. See all the connections happening!

I have no idea what made me set that plant on my desk. It's a very very small desk. It's actually a little kitchen table nook with 2 stools that store under the table. Somehow it got converted into my Passion Parties work space. *lol*

Mabon2013

                 My 2013 Mabon Altar

A witches hat worry stone represents the Goddess area of my altar. Three stones in the center to represent the autumn equinox- garnet(red/purple), carnelian (orange/red), and a moonstone. My incense cauldron burns guilded pear autumn incense & myrrh resin, representing the God altar area. The main area is decorated with the Mabon candle from www.whitemagickalchemy.com with all the wonderful scents of the autumn season! A few seasonal fruits & vegetables to give thanks to the Lord & Lady for the gifts of this bountiful season - pomegranate, squashes, & an avacado. Along with silk flowers of purple & yellow, dried pumpkin seeds & cloves. 

Wish there were such a thing as smell-o-vision!

I did some small things today to help celebrate this sabbat, but they felt great big in my heart.

Before I had to go to work, I did a mini-ritual where I made a blessing leaf for the 1st time. I thought about what I wanted for the day, how I wanted to feel. And wrote it (one word) on a bay leaf, then burned it. My word of the day was peace. Guess what kind of day I had at the nursing home? Yes!! Yes I did.

Then at work all day I kept wishing the residents a 'happy 1st day of fall'

Afterall, I cant very well go around saying Mabon blessings to everyone in a small western town predominately jehovahs witness & morman lol!

I have been debating whether to write about my situation yesterday or not. I arrived at the decision that I always feel better after writing.

There is a sick person on facebook seeking out Passion Parties consultants on the Passion Parties fb page. On the premise that he is looking for help and then sends pictures of his penis, and talks perverted. But is very apologetic about the pictures. And its not clear immediately that he is being perverted. We are in the business of helping people. And are good hearted people. And it is very offensive to be treated like we are sexual deviants or prostitutes! Just because we sell sexual products does not make us one particular kind of person. We are Diverse! We are Inspiring! We are Vibrant! We are Accomplished! We are DIVA's!

I've gone through a huge range of emotions. It is so sad and pathetic that in this day and age with all the things that there are to do online and offline in our lives that people still choose to harass people as an activity!

I don't know that much can be done from facebook. I did report him. But he doesn't contact us through facebook messenger. He texts our phones.

Never again will I be so anxious for a sale and to be successful that I will not listen to my warning bells going off. And I'm going to read a book that my sponsor suggested a long time ago for me. It's about listening to those alarms your body is sending you. This has really effected me and bothered me in a big big way. So I will probably do a banishing ritual, clearing negativity ritual of some sort.

Because if Passion Parties ended today for whatever reason I am proud of the success that I have already had  in the business! I am proud that I have not given up. I am proud that I got to go to convention my very 1st year in thanks to my parents & my sister. I'm proud of the connections I've made, the people I've met, the personal growth I've had. I'm proud of all of it. I will one day have a successful team and be a successful executive director in passion parties one day! So this situation will not destroy me. It makes me wiser. Reminds me that even though I live in a small quiet western town, there are still perverts out there that are apparently very bored and not very smart. *lol*

BecomingThePersonYouWantToBe

Today it occurred to me that I AM becoming the person I used to dream of being. The person I wanted to be a long time ago. The person I used to wish I was. Then I stopped wishing, and started working on becoming the person I want to be. In magick you don't just wish and poof something happens. Thats hollywood magic, stage magic. Which is not real. But a trick. In spiritual magick. You work towards your goal to manifest it. I used to think, I could never be one of those straight girls. In my mind you were someone that I was. Party girl, or one of the very very religious women that wear dresses and those bonnets. But there is another alternative. ME! Clean me! Earthy me! Me Me Me! alcohol free, drug free (recreational/illegal and prescription). Clean eating me. No pop, or soda. *giggles* depending on where you live you may call it soda, you may call it pop... No fried foods. Well I've definately decreased my fried foods. Still working on the french fry connection. I do not eat any breaded food, pasta, cookies, breads, cakes, brownies, donuts or the like.

Funny that I have also manifested myself into a gluten-free diet. I am gluten intolerant. I had really really wanted to be on a paleo lifestyle. So its actually kind of funny that through my health i'm making my way there. I'd say gluten-free is a huge step in the right direction. Even if forced into it...I've often thought, maybe thats the only way I could become gluten-free.

I never thought a day would arrive that I am comfortable in my own skin. Comfortable being myself, and letting others see that self. But I do see light at the end of the tunnel. I am a happy pagan!

Originally this post was going to be a bit of a rant because I was sitting here thinking about my job & began to cry. But then something else happened. I got a card in the mail today from my spiritual sister Renee Avard. The things she hand wrote in that note are vital, special and powerful. And I know she meant them and did not just write down some random words on a piece of paper w/out any intent behind them at all. So I began to think, why not turn these sad feelings into positive ones.

Who cares if some people who work in offices think incorrect things about me. They don't really know me. My family knows me. My friends know me. I know me. The Universe knows me.


Everything happens for a reason. Maybe I'm suppose to move on and its okay, and it is the right time to move on. I've been a C.N.A. for 7 years. I've learned, I've experienced, I've endured. There is now an opening for C.N.A.'s at an emergency room / clinic. And they will assist us in becoming M.A.'s if you like. Which I think that I would like to learn something new, advance in my career. But not in the direction of becoming a nurse.

I'm so tired of breaking my back lifting residents that won't help. The administration's answer to all the residents doing what she needs them to do is to 'just flirt with them'. And that is from the mouth of our D.O.N. wow! That is outside the scope of my practice for my job. If a resident can not stand they should be using a lift. But I get punched in the cheek bone for doing that & then almost fired because I had a natural reaction to scream out god dammit. hmmm... odd behavior on my part. I know... Especially since I've already been suffering with neuralgia on that whole side of my face and head for the last 5 years from shingles. My trigemenal nerve is effected.  And people just do not understand that nerve damage does not mean its broken & has less pain. It means that it is ultra sensitive and has waaaaay more pain.

What I really really want for myself - 

is to be a successful Passion Parties Independent Consultant. I haven't yet been able to be successful with it in the small community that I live in. Not to say that I won't ever be. I'm not giving up yet.

So back to the title of my post - Keep Up The Positive. Just because I feel sad for a moment. Does not mean I have to STAY in that moment. :) 

I can change it. I can use meditation, goddess prayer, rituals to bring about positive change in my own life for myself, visualization... I have many many tools of the universe at my side. 

I am a daughter of Isis. Isis taught women to weave, and other tools, to be strong, she listened to all of their prayers no matter their status in this life. To Isis we are all worthy.

 No matter who you are, where you are in your life; always go forward. Be proud of yourself. If you do not feel that way. What can you do to change it? I would luv to hear from you & meet you on your pathway. (((Blessed Be))))

Pagan Blog Project - Week 20 - Letter J

Juniper Berries are a very fragrant herb. I love their dark purple/blue/black color. Their magickal properties are many. Did you know that the ancient greeks burned juniper to prevent illnesses, even the black plague. 

When chewed the berries combat bad breath and aid to heal damaged gums. Juniper oil is used for a variety of ailments including digestive problems, kidney and bladder. Those with kidney disease should avoid it though. In aromatherapy juniper is often found in rub blends as juniper detoxifies & relaxes the body.

Properties - protection, warding off evil, combating hexes, psychic powers, attract good health.

Prompt: Pagan "Coming out of the broom closet day"

National Coming out of the Broom Closet day was May 3rd. I am already out to my parents & sister. I didn't make any grand announcement to the rest of my family because my family is very loving and accepting of each other no matter what. A few of my friends know. My biggest shock came though when my neighbor who also used to be a co-worker of mine for 6 years all of a sudden asked me - "So how long have your been into witchcraft" She even told me I should have seen the look on my face! I can not even imagine. Because I remember choking and stumbling on my words. Turns out she is too! I had one friend at work I had been talking to about this before I left. And he kept telling me that I'd be surprised how many people are like me. I just kept saying who, and not believing him.

We live in a small town in Wyoming. A lot of mormons. But witches?? Where?- I would think. And little by little I have see people accepting and thinking along the same lines I do. And that people were not as judgmental as I thought they would be.

Our fear is always much bigger than peoples actual reactions...

 Pagan Blog Project-Beltane Prompt

With Beltane less than a week away, I thought it was only appropriate to have our prompt be about it.  How do you celebrate?  Is it a personal celebration, or do you go to a public gathering?  What does it mean to you, personally?

 

 

Beltane holds a dear place in my heart and soul. It is my favorite sabbat. I am so thrilled that I get to celebrate it this year. I was working a different shift & so exhausted last year. My work shift just changed ( for at least a month ). And I will be able to go have my special day at Red Gulch Dinasour Tracksite & my sabbat ritual. SO excited!!

Beltane has a lot of personal and spiritual meaning for me. I remember celebrating May Day as a child. So there is that connection to childhood. My grandma that I was very very close to passed away on may day. As I have probably mentioned more than once or twice in blog posts before *giggles* - Beltane is also very special to me because it is the very first sabbat I learned about & celebrated. I realized who and what I was March 27th 2011 & immediately started researching holidays. Beltane was SO close that I almost didn't get a maypole candle. But thanx to the wonderful quick work of White Magick Alchemy, I was able to have my very 1st sabbat candle & celebrate Beltane in style.

 

Beltane is a time of rebirth, & change. Which I feel a strong connection to. I personally have been going through a lot of changes in my life. Personal growth big time through this past year. Have overcome lots of personal obstacles & fears.

I have become more open with my religion. Even at work! *lol* I'm careful who I talk to about it though.

 

 

PaganBlogProject2013-Incense

For week 18 of 2013 is the letter I.
Incense really stood out for me. I found out about natural loose incense two years ago when first learning about the craft. It didn't take long before I wanted to try creating my own. I've made an 'autumn forest' blend that I just love burning. They are not as difficult as you would think. A little of this. A bit of that... (we will lead into my recipe later)

First lets start with what you will be burning your incense in? A small cauldron is what I use for mine. A small die cast iron cauldron. Then I have red rock, and I set a self igniting charcoal disc (after lighting it from the bottom) on the red rock. You can also use sand instead of redrock. I bet colored sand would look very pretty!

You can get a lot more charcoal discs for your money at e-bay. I like to support witch shops. But when I'm low on money I go to e-bay and try to find the ones with no shipping. *lol*

Now that we have something to burn our fabulous incense in. Let create it!
What kind of incense do we want to create? Shall we craft it under a full moon? The waxing moon? Do you want to create it as a part of your ritual or sabbat celebration? Or just in the middle of the afternoon on a whim? All up to you.

Star with what you know you love and experiment. I write down everything I craft in crafts and spells book. The pages will later be decorated and added to my big B.O.S. (Book of Shadows)

I love frankincense and myrrh. So I knew that I wanted frankincense & myrrh resin in my blend. I wanted a woodsy scent too. So I added a couple drops of pine and woodrose pure essential oils. With my mortar and pestle I grinded herbs such as rosemary, sage, cinnamon stick, dragonsblood. I put my frankincense and myrrh resin in there too. A wonderful woodsy aroma is what I ended up with.

Since I do not know ahead of time what I will end up with, if I will like it or not. I use just very small amounts of each item. Pure essential oils are very strong. So it usually does not take much. Start with 1 drop, and see if you like it. Add more if its not enough for you.  Crafting items is all about experimentation for me.  Your not going to come up with 'Witches Brew' the very first time you mix together some herbs and resins. *lol* But you just might come up with something that you do like a lot. And with practice you will learn more about the herbs and ingredients your using.

Always use clean tools. Clean your tools immediately after using them. Never use the same dropper for more than 1 essential oil. Keep the caps on your essential oils, as they are concentrated and will evaporate very very quickly. I always seal my herbs back up right away too.

What To Store Your New Incense In: I use medicine bottles that I have washed out very well, jars with lids, I have purchased small apothecary bottles for the oils I craft. I mostly use old medicine bottles and draw a pentacle on them so I know they are for magick only. And try to get the medical label off as much as possible.
