BooksI'mReading

(week of) Tuesday April 8, 2014
(wow!! It's been a whole years since bought any books!)
√ Llewellyn's 2014 Magical Almanac
√ The Witches' Almanac - Mystic Earth - Issue 33 Spring 2014-2015
√ Llewellyn's Complete Book of Names - pagan names and meanings

I also added Scott Cunningham's Incense, Oils, & Brews. And Earth, Air, Fire & Water.
I can't believe how down to earth his books are. He just talks to the reader like you are sitting outside chatting. I was surprised to find a huge list of substitutions. I had no idea substitutions could be used!

Currently Reading: Green Magic & The Magic

The 1st practice in The Magic is to write a list of 10 things I am grateful for each day, for 28 days. I purchased a special journal for just that.

I recently just finished 'Candlemas' last month to be better prepared for Imbolc this year.
and snapped a couple of current pics of some of my books.
A few of my Ellen Dugan books

At this time I have withdrawn my membership from Sacred Mists. I've been out of work for a month now. (A little over 1 mo. actually) And feel like my money should be spent elsewhere. I still like that school and the shoppe a lot.
I have found a wonderful kindred spirit through another pagan forum. And through Camille found out about a place for free called Magicka School.

I feel like I am a solitary practitioner. When I entered Sacred Mists, I was told that I was now in a coven and an eclectic witch. I didn't know what I was doing yet. *lol* But I really do feel like a solitary. I think that I prefer learning on my own. I do not aspire to be a priestess. And that is what that school is for. I haven't been doing my studies lately. I don't hardly ever contact my mentor. So, I don't think that Sacred Mists is the place for me at this time. I will continue to enjoy shopping at their shop though. >>>

Garden Witchery - Magick from the ground up - by Ellen Dugan
The Herbal Alchemist's Handbook by Karen Harrison

I'm just beginning my journey in wicca. As of this day I'm about a month and a half into it. I've purchased at least 6 books already. Most of them are for the schools I am attending online. Plus 2 tarot decks and a tarot book. Plus the tarot decks both come with booklets of their own as well. I have purchased 2 books outside of the schools.

True Magick by Amber K.

Wicca - A guide for the solitary practitioner
by Scott Cunningham

I no longer am a solitary witch. But an eclectic witch. But I will
still continue to read Scott Cunningham's book. He has published a lot
of books on wicca. I also want to buy garden witch books and kitchen witch books.
I do still feel a bit like a solitary witch though. As I do not belong to a coven offline.
I do not know of any other witches or anyone practicing wicca or living a wiccan lifestyle
offline. In my community I am a solitary witch...

I have never enjoyed reading so much. It's wonderful! I love my new life. Everything seems so brilliant and bright and wonderful and new.
