Absinthe-LaFeeVerte

I am so excited!! Ever since I learned about Absinthe 3 years ago, I have wanted to experience it. It is from the 1900's. It is very potent. Made with herbs and Vodka (no less than 100 proof). It is outlawed in the United States. It originates from France. Nick named the Green Fairy. La Fee Verte means The Green Fairy.

So my obsession and curiosity with Absinthe is in full swing with all my Absinthe tools ordered from e-bay. I love my glasses and can not wait to hold one in my hand!

Finding Magick in Everyday

Finding the magick in each day may not always be an easy task. But is something worth looking for. Sometimes I miss the simple signs.  Do you ever do that? Get caught up in the everyday stresses and complications. It can be as easy as enjoying the sound and scent of a fresh rain. Watching a bird.

For the past week or so on my way to work. (It’s dark – 5:00 a.m.) A light – towards the East keeps catching my eye. A bright star and a smaller star. It’s been puzzling me. Are they always there and I don’t notice. Are they new? Is it a planet or something? Aliens?… Have I been watching a little too much Ancient Aliens?

Then today I was looking at my sky map iphone app searching for where Moon is located at the moment. Odd…  There are two planets just above our waning moon. Jupiter. Which looks like it is very large, compared to the planet Venus to the left of it.  Right where I’ve been seeing those stars!

Are we always able to see certain planets with the naked eye? I would not think so. Otherwise what use would there be for telescopes… It is all so fascinating and mysterious to me.

Interesting! Planets ARE visible during certain times… I love it!

PaganBlogPrompt-OisforOldReligion

Old Religion

Religion, rites, ceremonies, are themselves as old as time. Even as a child I was drawn to a much older time than what I lived in. Pictures in my head of a woman sweeping her cobblestone side walk in front of her cottage. Windows made of unpainted unfinished wood. Wooden shelves with all kinds of plants, and bottles among them...

Old Religion. I feel very comfortable with those words. Lets go to church. Not so much. I've never felt like I have to be in a building following along with what someone else is telling me to do and doing the same thing that everyone else in the room is doing. That felt uncomfortable. Not real. Not natural.

Old Religion comes from many places and times in our ancient past. Whether I'm going to be referring to Celtic traditions which can then branch off into many other traditions of Faery Faith, Tuatha De Danann, Druids, Shamanism. Or if we are talking about Egyptian, Hindu, or Native American. These are all old religions. You just have to find the path that speaks to you.

I don't believe in blood offerings. And I do not believe in a single parent God or Goddess. I do not believe that we should be controlled by religious fear or that there is a dark demon waiting until we die to punish us. I believe in sacred promises, physical natural offerings such as flowers, milk, honey, seeds. I believe in many Gods and Goddesses. I believe in Karma. That the Universe gives you what you put out there.

In most of the old religions there are rituals dedicated to the Gods and Goddesses for things that we want, don't want. Things we want to change. Crops to grow. Decisions to be made. Wars to be fought. And for peace within ourselves. I see old religion as a simpler purer time in our history. Burning incense created with some sage, frankincense, myrrh, rosemary, dragonsblood, amber, patchouli, whatever was available in their region locally. Light a candle, send your words up to the God and Goddess.

This is what attracts me to Paganism so much, is the fluidity of it all. How I feel when I light that incense I have mixed and created myself, and speak from my heart and soul. Touching and smelling elements that have been of the earth for so many thousands of years. Still being able to tap into that old ancient time...

PostitTuesdays-HomemadeRepellant

I have never made my own insect repellent. I've never even used anything like that before. Because every living creature has a purpose. Right!?

But I have put too much hard work and love and caring into my plants for the grasshoppers to just come and eat them all up! My sunflowers are going down fast. And they have not even gotten to bloom yet. So, I searched on the internet of a 'natural' repellent. I found recipes containing garlic and onion and molasses. None of which I happened to have on hand that day. But for some reason I checked the ingredients of worchestire sauce. (thank you Goddess for that nudge) And worchestire sauce contains molasses, garlic, and onion!

Worked like a charm!!! Try to eat my sunflowers! I do not think so!...

Bloggerhood-WarmColorWriting

She appeared out of the starry mist.
Yellow flowers in her hair.
A wisdom swarmed within her stare.
The most breathtaking shades of yellow, gold, pink and red.
But I can still feel her dread.
Had those velvet lips ever felt the warmth of a kiss...

BloggerhoodPrompt-Gratitude

Gratitude is this week's blog prompt. I am going to start off with the challenge though. This weeks challenge is Warm Colors-Art. I chose to work with a photo of myself. Taken after Passion Parties Convention 2014 was over with. My hair had been curled the night before... I was through being glamorous and just snapped a normal selfie. Then I changed it to a warmer color. Well darker at least. It felt warm to me. I'm not sure if 'warm' means blue or any warm type of color. And for all I know in the graphics world I may have actually turned it cooler. *lol* I'm not an official artist or art student.... But I do like the outcome of this photo.
Before

After

Gratitude... I am grateful to Manda first of all for the opportunity to really think more in depth about gratitude today. I am grateful for all of my plants, herbs and flowers that are still alive and thriving. I planted sunflowers, rosemary, echinaea, viola, cilantro, corn, potatoes, pumpkins, marigolds, forget-me-nots, moon flowers, lavender, candy tuft, moss roses and sage. I am grateful that I have a job to pay my bills. Although it is no longer my dream job, as my dreams have changed. I am still grateful to have it. I am very grateful for my Passion Parties business. I get the unique opportunity to give women a gift. The gift can have many names, many meanings for many different reasons. It could be the gift of feeling sexy, free, or empowered as a woman. It could be the gift of improving or changing a relationship. Creating a new relationship, reviving an old one...

I am also grateful to be an Independent Passion Parties Consultant because this wonderful company, this wonderful opportunity has given birth to growth. Personal strides in growth for myself. I do not think that I would have ever gotten on an airplane and flown someplace I've never been to before - and by myself! I do not think that I would have ever driven to a big city and found someone's house which I had never been to before.

I am grateful for magick, wicca, and the power of the Universe. If I had not had the courage to finally open that door I would not have found all the personal power that I have today. I feel like I have a much higher self asteem because of magick and Passion Parties. And all that I've learned over the past 3 years.

Thank you Universe! Thank you Universe! Thank you Universe! And thank you to my God and Goddess who help me along my path... )O(

But these are not the only things that I am thankful for. To list all the things in this life that I am grateful for would be completely impossible. I have the most amazing family. I am not great at showing my love and gratitude. I forget to call on anniversaries. I don't get gifts mailed off in time. But I am grateful that I have the kind of family that those things don't really matter. We know how much we love one another...
Without the family I have, and was raised in. I do not think I could have love and gratitude for all of the other things...

BlahBlahBloggerhoodPrompt-PlacesI'veBeen

(near) Forks, Washington
The Hoh Rain Forest

Today I joined The Divine Secrets of the Blah Blah Bloggerhood! I already love the first prompt and challenge. This weeks prompt is 'places I've been'. - or want to go... The above photo is taken by my daughter when she and her family went on the Forks Twilight Tour in Forks, Washington. It is a dream of mine to go there too. It is so beautiful. So peaceful looking and oh so serene. Just my kind of place!

For anyone who does not already know I am a 'one of those Twilight people'. I had even thought it would be wonderful to move to Forks. I already know how magickal and wonderful Washington is. As I used to live in the Ellensburg area for 12 years. That is where my two kids were raised. And where they call home.

The water in Washington is very very blue and absolutely breathtaking.

I now live in Wyoming, in a small town called Greybull. Population 1800. It is very scenic and beautiful here too with majestic mountains, waterfalls and no shortage of awesome huge stones.

I am originally from Des Moines Iowa. I was born and raised there. I moved to Bakersfield California and lived there for 4 years. My parents and my sister and her family still live there. I lived in Ellensburg and Kittitas Washington for 12 years, and have been in Greybull Wyoming for about 13 years now.

Dilemma...

Today I was faced with a big decision. I have a Passion Party tomorrow night that is out of town. Out of state actually! I live 2 hours away from Billings Montana in Greybull, Wyoming. This was originally a very very exciting and happy thing to have happen to me. But through the couple of weeks since this party was booked with me. My husband and I are not doing so well. He makes a habit of coming home drunk, saying mean things to me. Then pretends like it never happened. Well the latest is that my gasoline card is being cut off that I use to go back and forth and I'm suppose to just 'figure it out'. So here lies the dilemma. I have $200.00 in my checking account. Do I go do this party, use most of my gasoline money (that is suppose to get me back and forth to work - I live an hour away from work). Take the chance of not having money to get to work and back home the next day?.. What if there are no sales at all.

But today after thinking all week long, do I go do this party or not. Will I get any money out of it? How will I go back and forth to work?.. I suddenly realized. Just maybe this party is what I need. Maybe the God & Goddess are giving me exactly what I need. So after trying to talk myself out of it all week long. I am happy that I am going to go do this party for my friend and do a good job.

If there are not any sales, then there are just not any sales. It's that simple. But on the other hand, by me going and doing a Passion Party I will get out of town for a while, which will feel good. I get out side my comfort zone. So I also get personal growth. I get my name/business out there more. I get to make some ladies laugh, have fun. Maybe I even get to make a new friend of two. I am making new connections. I get to make the decision to not take the easy way out. Taking the easy way out would actually only make me feel worse.

Of course I'm scared and nervous to find someone's house I've never been to in a huge city. But we do have Google Maps in this day and age *giggles* AND I AM A WITCH! I am powerful! I am strong! I got this!!

I believe the Goddess has aligned this opportunity for me for a reason. This party will be with women who are in beauty and nail tech school. Oddly enough thats what I'm wanting to learn too. I've wanted to be a cosmetologist since I was a little girl. I want to get out of nursing so very very desperately (i'm a C.N.A.) and would love to go to school for nail tech and have a hugely successful Passion Parties business!!

Dandelions

I am learning about the healing and wellness of dandelions. Every part of the dandelion is useful and edible. The leaves are easy to spot from other so-called weeds in your yard. They resemble the open mouth of a lion.
Today I spent some time with my 1 year old grand daughter Leena, outside picking dandelions.

Fresh dandelions can be added to your salad. There are many medicinal uses for dandelions. I've done a little reading on how to cook with them to make cookies, wine,etc... too
I discovered a blog today that I like a lot.

Earlier - before we went outside Leena thought I was lonely. And brought some friends to sit with me...
lunch time for Nana and Leena. Scrambled eggs - cageless brown farm eggs with
rosemary, sage, cheese, bonfire witches salt, and a lil' ketsup.

Leena chasing after her 14 year old cousin Evey. Evey pick me up!! lol

At long last a wonderful laugh for Nana!

Now I'm ready to go Auntie Nicole's for a nap and give a big present in my panties! *hee hee hee*

Beltane2014

Merry Beltane Wishes! I had a wonderful Beltane ritual tonight and last night as well. No spells for tomorrow. So I had to get them all in. *lol* I have been crafting all day long. Creating candles, decorating containers. I am trying to find things around my house to decorate to use as candle holders. Today I poured out 2 cans of vienna sausages and glittered the outside of the cute little can. Poured a candle into one of them.

My written spell, that was chanted times nine and burned. I also finally made myself a simple witches ladder. It was last minute and is just 1 piece of hemp string *lol* It sure did work like a charmer though!

I will probably sell this style for $5.00 It contains some of my home made Beltaine Incense Blend I just made last night. (Sunshine and Giggles is what I may name this little creation)

I just had to take a quick pic of this candle that I made today. The texture is the best I've done in the last two years since I've started candle crafting!!
It is made up of different candles I've made in the past. Some oopsie candles that sunk, or did not turn out like I wanted. I painted the inside of the candle mold with gold candle color. (That is the golden lines you see at the top of the candle. - That is on purpose).  But it is very smooth, clean, not cracked or flawed!

My palm wax arrived today along with some new scents to try out. I've never worked with palm wax before. I have to say that I LOVE IT!!!
Plumeria was my first try...
So I made myself a candle in a wine glass I had sitting around.

I just love the cracking and crystalizing effect of palm wax!
And just look at how my prosperity jar has grown over the past month!
